Robert Billing
farmer (1783) 1
of Weaseham All Saints, Norfolk 2
born 1712 3
baptized 31 August 1712, Weasenham All Saints 4
died August 1783 5
buried 29 August 1783, Weasenham All Saints 6
will dated 21 August 1783
and proved 16 March 1784, granted to Thomas Billing his son and Edmund Kenney his son-in-law
Notes:
Given his age at death of 71 noted on the gravestone in Weasenham
churchyard (as recorded in a transcription of the Weasenham grave
stones in Kirby Hall, Norwich), I have assumed him to be the Robert
Billing who was baptised at Weasenham All Saints on 31 aug 1712.

His will was dated 21st August 1983 and proved 16th March 1784.
The date of death as transcribed from the gravestone (see above),
was August 1783, possibly the 28th, which would tally pretty well.

On 6th October 1747 Robert Billing appeared at the Weasenham East
Hall Manor Court to report the death of his father, Thomas Billing, of
whom he said he was the eldest son and of full age.

The said Thomas Billing had died holding from the manor, 'three
roods of copyhold land, a parcel of a close called the Bullyard'
the ownership of which he had taken up at a manor court on the
31st May 1738 by and after the death of Thomas Billing and his
wife Elizabeth of whom he was the eldest son and heir at law.
