Jochem Koekemoer 1 of Goliats Kraal, in the Kantebo 2 born 6 October 1742, (or may be 1743) at the Cape 3 died 17 May 1772, Waveren 4 Notes: Details of this familly from the Deceased Estate Accounts of Willem van Wijk Ariesz, 1775. The two children were minors at that date and from the Inventory of the estate of Jochem Koekemoer, dated 19th March 1773. In this inventory he is named as Joggem Koekemoer de jongen. There are grants of grazing rights to him, the first on 15 October 1763 for the 'Vondeling' in the Roggeveld, vacated by Wm. van Arysz. van Wyk, and the last on 31st July 1772 - another on 20 March 1773 to his widow. (Receiver of Land Revenue Records, Cape Archives) In this inventory the farm, Goliats Kraal, is described as not worth anything and to be abandoned by the widow. There seems to be a discrepancy here in his date of death.
