Jacob Paasen 1 stonemason 2 Sergeant of the Burger Militia born circa 1668, Utrecht 3 died circa January 1723 4 will dated 9 October 1721 and filed 22 March 1723 5 Notes: He was involved in the planning and preparation for the building of a church in Cape Town. On the 4th December 1718 he was promoted from Corporal to Sergeant of the Burger Militia. On 2nd August 1712, plot no. 6 in block FF, behind the hospital in Cape Town, was given to him by the Commander, Willem Helot. He later sold the plot to the Burger Council.
