will dated 4 October 1724 4

Notes:
The widow Mary Barker who drew up her will in 1724 is definitely
established as the mother of Philip Parlett of Fring.

In 1704 James Barker of Fring, in his will, described Philip Parlett
as his 'son-in-law' a term used in those days in the modern sense
but also in the sense of 'step-son'. He also mentions his wife, Mary,
and his daughter Elizabeth
