Eduard Loubser 1
of Cape Town
born 1688, at the Cape 2
baptized 13 June 1688, Cape Town 3
died 1713 4
Notes:
He was baptised Egtbert, and was named Evert in the marriage entry
of 1707 and the baptism of his first child, and his son, Nicolaas, named
his eldest son Everhardus. By the time of his death, however, he seems
to have been known as Eduard.

At the time of his death, they owned half a farm with a good number
of cattle, sheep and horsers, a very limited quantity of household
stuff, but 7 man slaves and 1 woman slave!

There were, apparently, no children born to this couple after 1712 and
I would guess that he probably died during the smallpox epidemic of
1713 and 1714, and that his estate was not wound up until 1717 when
times were better for selling up properties.
