# The parents of Carel Pieter Rogge

I have assumed that he was the son of Jan Christoffel Rogge, but I
have no conclusive proof. His father was not one of the baptismal
witnesses for any of Carel's children, but Carel's sister, Martha
Maria Rogge and her husband Johannes Abraham Landman were
witnesses at the baptism of the second child, and his brother-in-law,
Sebastiaan Rothman, husband of the deceased Maria Elisabeth
Rogge, was a witness at the baptism of the third child, along with his
daughter Catharina Carolina Rotman.
