Willem Janse van Rensburg 1763-circa 1818
born 1763 6
baptized 3 April 1763, Tulbagh 7
died circa February 1818 8

Notes: In his parents' will dated 1800 he was described as both deaf
and dumb and entrusted to the care of his brother Hendrik Petrus,
himself described as deaf but otherwise well.

He was left the slave Piet van der Caab by his parents.

When he died in 1818 his heirs were his brothers and sisters, or if
they had already died, like his brother Nicolaas Jacobs, their children.
It can therefore be assumed that he left no children of his own. The
slave, Piet van de Kaap, was still with him. (MOOC 8/37, 23 - 1818)

Anna Sophia Burger.

born 1768, Koue Bokkeveld 16
baptized 8 May 1768, Tulbagh 17
died 30 August 1842, Koue Bokkeveld 18

Notes: She was described as disabled (Gebrekkelijk) in the 1792 will of her
parents and entrusted to the care of her brother Hendrik Petrus, himself
described as deaf but otherwise well.

She was left a slave, Sara van de Caab, by her parents.

She was unmarried according to her death notice.

Nicolaas Jacobus Janse van Rensburg 1770-before 1813
born 1770
baptized 22 April 1770, Tulbagh

Johannes Petrus Janse van Rensburg born 1771
born 1771 19
baptized 25 December 1771, Tulbagh 20

Notes: He is listed as Pieter Jansze van Rensburg in the Estate Accounts
of his grandmother, Anna Sophia Burger, so this was presumably what
he was usually called.

He was left the house and buildings (Opstal) on the loan farm called
Wolven Kop, situated in the Kleine Roggeveld, by the will of his parents
dated 1800.

Hester Aletta Janse van Rensburg 1773-before 1786
born 1773 21
baptized 2 October 1773, Tulbagh 22
died before 1786 23

Notes: She presumably died before 1786 when another child was
named Hester (there is only one child Hester named in the Estate
Accounts of Anna Sophia Burger dated 1802).

Elsje Aletta Janse van Rensburg 1776-before 1802
born 1776 24
baptized 2 June 1776, Tulbagh 25

accounts of her grandmother, Anna Sophia Burger.

Charl du Plessis 27

Bartholomina Jacoba Janse van Rensburg born 1779
born 1779 28
baptized 3 April 1779, Tulbagh 29

Notes: She is listed as Jacoba Jansen van Rensburg in the estate accounts
of her grandmother, Anna Sophia Burger, so this is presumably the
name she was known by.

 married

Jacobus du Plessis 30

Hendrik Petrus Janse van Rensburg 1784-1841
born 1784, Welgemoed Farm in Bokkeveld 31
baptized 3 July 1784, Tulbagh 32
died 2 August 1841, Welgemoed, in the Bokkeveld 33

he was entrusted by them with the care of his deaf and dumb eldest brother,
Willem, and his disabled (gebrekkelyke) sister Anna Sophia, as well as the care
of his young sisters Hester Johanna en Martha Louisa until such time as they
should marry.

He was left the house and buildings (opstallen) on the farm Welgemoed, his
parents' loan farm situated behind the Bokkeveld by Driefonteinen, and also
an 'uitdrift' called De Klijfontein in the Roggeberg.

He was unmarried according to his death notice.
